Dominic Pacyga recently reviewed Andrew J. Diamond's book Mean Streets: Chicago Youths and the Everyday Struggle for Empowerment in the Multiracial City, 1908-1969 (2009) in Humanities and Social Sciences online (www.h-net.org).
