Rod Blagojevich was impeached from the office of Governor of Illinois by unanimous vote by the Illinois Senate (59-0) on January 29, 2009.
Pat Quinn's first act as Governor on January 30, 2009: Reform. The Illinois Reform Commission is now chartered under the Governor's office. Quinn is sixty years old, and a native Chicagoan (born on the South Side, raised in Hindsdale).
